Hello people, if you havent been checking this place out!!! Well, we're bringing blogging to a whole new level. We're blogging live right from the School of Modern Levites

Today is Day One at SML and right now, we're on a break between sessions. Recently, there's been tons of new content added to the morning teachings on heart of worship. And if you're unable to come today, well, you can still join us on Thursday and Friday!!!!

Okay, update...First of all, our vocalists will be at main service this Sunday to lead the children of FCBC in worship. Look out for them!!!

Morning sessions will touch on the Heart of Worship, while Afternoon sessions will be a retooling session for existing musicians. That's right, SML this round are for our existing bands to please block out those dates!!!!

HEY LEVITES!

sorry for the lack of updates. We've all been busy with Christmas Musical, then New Year Bash, and before we knew it, we're in the middle of January! How time flies!

Rehearsals are underway and its been an exciting time.

God has indeed been faithful, showing us favour where we least expect it..

As I type this, the cast has just finished their rehearsal; with the choir meeting next week and the band meeting on Friday.

Hey Levites, its only one more day to the inaugural Modern Levites Conference 2007. The theme for this year is "Worship Warriors". God is calling for the Levites of the age to rise up and tear down the strongholds of the evil spiritual forces. Music, and Worship, is one of the keys that will unlock God's power of revival!

Over the next few days, we will be taught on how to move in the spirit, how to minister to the people that we serve, and to worship and not just play. We will receive impartation from the Holy Spirit, impartation that you and I believe, will impact our lives.

So Levites, leave all your worries at the entrance. Come with an open heart, be sensitive to what God has to say to all of you. Do not get caught up with the earthly activities that we miss out on the supernatural. Let us believe that God will do many things over the coming days.

Christmas Extravaganza!

Well, though its only August. GKidz is not resting on its laurels. We are in the midst of planning for Christmas and well, we're going to put on a MUSICAL for the children of this church to invite their friends!!! Its no small musical, we're going to have lights, sound, staging, the whole works!!! We are even having a mini-orchestra!!! Its going to be an exciting time where we present the message of God in a new way..

It is also a milestone for us as this is the first time in 6 years that we are putting on a Musical.. So; speak up now because we need the following people

-Choir (mixture of children and youth)

-Dancers

- Production Crew (Stage,Costume,Technical,Logistic)

-Actors (for the youth Levites only!!!)

-Photographers & Videographers

-or anybody else who want to play a part in this musical!!!

So bring your friends!!! Involve them in this musical and let them be exposed to the wondrous message of Love, Hope and Peace. There will be CIP points given to all JC/Secondary School students...

NEW ADDITIONS

HEY LEVITES!!

Well, starting this month, we have got new additions to the team! We have a bumper crop of new vocalists that are currently undergoing training, if you see them, do encourage them and be a good role model to them too!!!

We also have new drummers and guitarists being attached to the respective bands - so do encourage them and support them as well. There are over 15 musicians that are currently in training, so indeed this is an exciting time ahead!!!

This month, the New Song of the Month is "History Maker".. So, do have a listen if you have the CD and make sure you are familiar with it!

Its been so long since there was anything new being put up here. Well, we've all been busy over the past month with SML, Levites Gathering, Encounter, Tribe Camps and so on and so forth.

Well, here's an update of whats happening this month of July!

40-Day LoveSingapore Fast
FCBC will once again join in on this year's 40-Day fast. This year's fast is significant as we are bringing it into the 100K campaign as well. So Levites, stay faithful and fast for the nation! I'm sure you will be immensely blessed when you see the lives of those around you change when they've been touched by God

Security Pass @ Expo
I know there was a round of confusion with regards to the new security tag; so here's the low-down. With effect from 22nd July, the current security passes will no longer be in effect. Instead, all worship leaders will need to collect their new standardized passes at the GKidz Registration Counter by this weekend. Please bring your I/C when collecting your new passes.

As for all other musicians, vocalists and PA Crew, as majority of you are only serving once a month, so on that week of duty, you will need to report to the GKidz Registration Counter at Hall 9 to sign out a Temporary Pass. This Temporary Pass will only be valid for that Sunday only.

So why the new system? Well, the new passes do not have your pictures or names on it. Therefore, if you misplace it, people who pick the pass up can just go into the backstage of the MAX Pavilion. This is also to prevent further abuse of the pass, such as smuggling people in when they're late for service and well, you get the idea. The staff of GKidz want to ensure that the security situation is as tight as possible at the MAX Pavilion and that only essential people; or people who are on duty week in and week out are at the Omega Rooms. So indeed, your understanding in this will be greatly appreciated!

An Encounter Last Sunday by Aunty Ee Wee

Hello one and all! As you know, our Gkidz SML was last week and we had a smashing good time "climbing praise mountain" which many of you will get to experience its wonders at the upcoming levites gathering.

But anyway...last sunday, we had the kiddos who graduated from the vocal track to present the new song "Our Love is Loud" at the GKidz services. Here's Aunty Ee Wee's encounter while leading worship at timothy club...

Jus wanna share about my special encounter during last Sunday
worship session at 1st service. After we introduced the new song
"Our Love Is Loud" and finished the song "Every Move".. we tried to
'buy time' while waiting for new levites to join us from Barnabas Club.
As you (Ps Kelly) walked down from stage to floor to talk to kids and lead them
int the song "Holy", I suddenly had a very special feeling. It was as if
I was transported to a.. kind of a "twilight zone".. your (Ps Kelly's) yellow shirt
really stood out among the sea of children.. as if Jesus was walking
down slowing... talking and teaching our kids. Can't really explained
the special feeling, but for sure I was moved to tears on stage.

Later on, while Ps Linda prayed for our new & existing levites on
stage, about them rising up to be our future leaders and worship
leaders etc, God showed me a vision. I saw plants sprouting from
stage, with few grew much taller & blooming to beautiful flowers.

Well, I thank God for His Holy Presence. Our kids' resounding
" We Love U Lord, We Love U, We Love U" touched Jesus.
Guess it's also God's gentle reminder tt all our trainings at
SML in past 3 days will yield many fruits, in His Kingdom,
in time to come.

Ps 34:9-12
"Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all
His Goodness. Young lions on the prowl get hungry,
but God-seekers are full of God. Come, children, listen closely;
I'll give you a lesson in God worship."

Alright people, I know you miss me already. Show me some love will you please, I've been pretty busy... =P

Okay, here we go.. More updates on the Levites Gathering and SML

LEVITES GATHERING
- FCBC's very own Celebration Director Ps John Koh will join us on the first night session for a time of impartation and renewal. We are pumped to have Ps John come speak to us again after such a long time.

- One of FCBC's notable songwriter/musician/worship leader, Susan Choo, will join us on the second night to speak to us about band dynamics and more on our musicality. A must go for all musicians! This session includes a time of Q&A, so if you have any burning questions, share them!

- On the third day, we have a fantastic time of band fellowship and a time of setting part. Get ready for a fantabulous time!

- Of course, our bands and worship leaders will be taking a day each to lead us in a time of praise and worship.

SCHOOL OF MODERN LEVITES
- Our own GKidz pastoral team, Rev. Aw Yew Lin, Ps Linda Leong and Ps Ng Sor Kim, will bring the word with this year's participants. I am sure that the participants will enter their workshops in the right mindset.

- for this first time this year, we are introducing a new compulsory workshop called "Music Theory". This one-hour workshop seeks to equip this year's participants with the basic know how on rhythm, ear training and band dynamics.

- We are once again incredibly honoured to have Ps Roger with us on the 6/6 at the Vocal Track to train our new vocal participants on how to take care of your voice.

Of course, this blog will be updated with the latest information, testimonies, and photos of the SML and Levites Gathering so stay tuned!

June Highlights

Well, would you look at it, its now coming the Mid-May, which means, Exams are out, Holidays are in!! There are a couple of exciting activities coming our way from end-May to June, so clear out your schedule cos here they are.

May 26 - Barnabas Net Meeting!
A time for the children of Barnabas Club to bring their pre-believing friends. Well, some of us will be mobilized to be game marshals and to help Dan with the program.

June 6-8 - School of Modern Levites
That's right, SML is here once again for the children of GKidz to come experience and discover more about their passion for music and worship. This round, we are offering four tracks, Keyboard, Guitar, Vocals and Drums! An exciting time indeed!

Second week of June - Levites Retreat
A time of refreshening of the anointing! We've got some cool stuff lined up so watch this space!

Our LIVE recording of Warrior's Hands was a blast. It turned out rather nice, and there are plans to do a studio recording as well.

Songwriting last weekend was terrific. There were lots of new ideas given and new songs presented. What an exciting time!

Hey Levites, this weekend is going to be quite special as we are intending to record Warrior's Hands LIVE! You can call it our very first single so to speak. There are plans for the final cut of the recording to be placed on the church's website. Do come down and join in the fun!!!

This weekend is our songwriting weekend, we are now having monthly meetings , so if you have any new songs that you have written, do come down on Saturday evening, from 7pm, for a time of fellowship and fun fun fun!!

Easter Afterthought

Well Levites, Jerrusic Park was pretty much a success aye! The attendance and salvation numbers are still unclear, but I just want to thank ALL OF YOU for taking the time to come help us, especially people like Marissa, Annabel and their cell, for staying throughout.

Am so glad that you guys have risen up to volunteer to help out and minister to the kids. Here are some testimonies from the children of the Saturday Night service and their leaders...

"hee! wanna add on something which touches my heart during the play tat was put up. i was sitting w J and L. both of them were engaged in the play as i sit behind them further explaining wat was gg on. i felt the play not only bring the children, but myself back to the very day tat Jesus was crucified. after the play, little L said he wish to c it again! after the prayer, i saw J wiping his tears. he kept tearing even after the prayer! i believe the holy spirit is touching him deeply! gan dong!!! i agree tat indeed all the children and adults tat went to the svc had brought back something special that night! when i heard joy's grandma talking excitingly abt the svc, it jus bring a smile onto my face... :)"...

Something to remind ourselves of why we really are serving in kids ministry.

An Easter Story? NAH..

Little Zachary was doing very badly in math. His parents had tried everything… tutors, mentors, flash cards, special learning centers. In short, everything they could think of to help his math.

Finally, in a last ditch effort, they took Zachary down and enrolled him in the local Catholic school.

After the first day, little Zachary came home with a very serious look in his face. He didn’t even kiss his mother hello.
Instead, he went straight to his room and started studying. Books and papers were spread out all over the room and little Zachary was hard at work.

His mother was amazed. She called him down to dinner. To her shock, the minute he was done, he marched back to his room without a word, and in no time, he was back hitting the books as hard as before. This went on or some time, day after day, while his mother tried to understand what made all the difference.

Finally, little Zachary brought home his Report Card. He quietly laid it on the table, went up to his room and hit the books. With great trepidation, his Mom looked at it and to her great surprise, Zachary got an “A” in math.

She could no longer hold her curiosity. She went to his room and said, “Son, what was it? Was it the nuns?”

Little Zachary looked at her and shook his head, no.

“Well, then,” she replied, ?Was it the books, the discipline, the structure, the uniforms? “WHAT WAS IT?”

Little Zachary looked at her and said, “Well, on the first day of school when I saw that guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they weren’t fooling around.”

Lisa's Easter Experience - It Is Finished!

Listen up Jerrusic Park! Stop whatever you're doing. You NEED to listen to this very important piece of news...

Tuesday salutations to one and all. Might I say that my Easter weekend brought much miracles into my life. But I'll make things short by focusing on Easter itself.

So it's my second time DJ-ing :) Had Dan as a partner this time. Runway of preparation was shorter, but we had less things to do anyway. I want to thank God for clearing all my school work before Good Friday, so that i could concentrate on writing DJ scripts for Easter (let me just say that this was a miracle in itself...ask me if you want to find out more).

What really impacted me was when I was writing the script for the procession. I was visualising it in my mind, and my fingers were typing away. But when I came to the part where we had to hurl insults at Jesus, I really struggled. I wrote "crucify him" in so many versions. I was kinda shocked at myself. I was scanning the text of my Bible beside me, picking out exact words and phrases and rewriting some. When I read it through again, I somehow could imagine how terrible it must have been in Jesus time. If I, sitting at my laptop, in the quiet and comfort of my room, could feel the pain hearing these words when i read it to myself, what more Jesus, who was badly beaten, tired, and had real people screaming all sorts of negative things into his ears. How much worst it was for Him.

Of course being the person that I am (for does of you who know know me will know what I'm talking about haha), I showed no real emotion on Sunday throughout the three services...it's all just an act anyway right? But deep down, I am grateful for what my Lord has done for me. Deeply grateful.

Anyway, even though I missed service at the miracle weekend, God reserved some miracles just for me :) It's really exciting when you just give up, let go and let God. That's something I'm learning to do.

So that's it for my once-in-a-blue-moon exaltation to you all. I'll try to write more often once school is out :P Till next time...

The Time Has Come!!!

In less than 4 days, Easter will be upon us!!! And that means, Jerrusic Park!!

But before that, and before all the activities take place, we need to remember the reason why Jesus died for us.

This is what it says in Luke 23:13-16 about the trial of Jesus with Pilate...

13-16Then Pilate called in the high priests, rulers, and the others and said, "You brought this man to me as a disturber of the peace. I examined him in front of all of you and found there was nothing to your charge. And neither did Herod, for he has sent him back here with a clean bill of health. It's clear that he's done nothing wrong, let alone anything deserving death. I'm going to warn him to watch his step and let him go."

Imagine what would have happened if Jesus did not die for our sins, and if He did not go on the cross. Imagine what would have happened if Pilate had indeed released Him. We all would have never believed, we would still be blinded by our own sins, and the world would be in a worse state than it is in now.

But Jesus did die for our sins, and He did die for the lost, and the people who seek after Him. But I sense that this Easter, He wants to touch the people who are unconvinced. It says in Matthew 28:11-15

11-15Meanwhile, the guards had scattered, but a few of them went into the city and told the high priests everything that had happened. They called a meeting of the religious leaders and came up with a plan: They took a large sum of money and gave it to the soldiers, bribing them to say, "His disciples came in the night and stole the body while we were sleeping." They assured them, "If the governor hears about your sleeping on duty, we will make sure you don't get blamed." The soldiers took the bribe and did as they were told. That story, cooked up in the Jewish High Council, is still going around.

Notice that this is the end of the Book of Matthew, and notice that even though Jesus had resurrected, and that He is indeed the Messiah, they were STILL unconvinced.

Many times, church-going children hear the Easter story over and over again, that it just becomes another fairy tale to them. But this Easter, lets pray for breakthrough, that once and for all, the Easter story will come alive in them! That we present it this weekend, that it will be a refreshing look into His redemption for us.

Its that time of day again for announcements!

First of, JuiceMaking Nights will be restructured in a new way. As GKidz is moving into a new direction, and as we are looking into producing an album in the near future, we are currently gathering songs, from budding songwriters, as well as from our levites, kids leaders and our own kids!!! So if you have any songs that you have written, do feel free to email to me... We will be scaling down our meetings from weekly, to monthly. This helps us to stock up on creative juices so that when we meet, this juices will explode!! (Not sure if you got that)

Second of, Easter is ONE WEEK AWAY! Lets get ready for some explosive time of ministering to the children.

Third of, we are still looking for volunteers for Easter!!! Please email me or Ps Kelly any more additional people you can mobilize. CIP Hours will be given!!

G12 Conference Week!!!

Hey Levites!

The event that we have been waiting for is finally here! In 24 hours, the 2007 G12 Conference will commence, with much excitement and prayer. I trust that all of us are going for the sessions, and let us seek to be renewed, and refreshed from the rhema words that will be coming from Ps Khong and Ps Nina, as well as Ps Cesar and Ps Claudia.

My question to you today is this. What do you want to see happen during the conference? What are you expecting to happen to you for this conference? Think about it, reflect upon each session, process with your cell leader.

My prayer is that as we go for the conference, may you all find that renewal empowerment, and may you come out from the conference excited about the year and the times ahead!

Dear levites, HELLO THERE!!!
Im here to share my experience at the camp with you.=)
Hannah, Dan, Sandra, Nicole, Daniel and I was there as a worship team. Besides being there for worship, standing by for ministry time, we mingled around the kids to understand what they were going through and served in ways that we could. One example would be Hannah suggested that we should mop the hall's floor because it was wet and soiled, so we went into action. Sandra and Nicole also helped with serving food and im quite ashamed of myself because i only know how to eat food hahahahahahah. As levites, our duties are not only to sing the right songs and play the right keys, also we need to understand the people that we are ministering. At the same time, serve them too. I guess, serving the children in other ways like bringing them to the toilet if there's not enough leaders on sunday, is a way of showing them love too. HINT HINT.

Due to a schools meeting till 11.30, i was very very late for the preparations of camp at 9am! i was expecting an indoor camp, not so much of a perspiration camp since the past touchkids camps had been quite pampering for the kids. I went there wearing outfits that wasn't coherent with the weather. It was really HOT. Though i seriously couldnt stand the heat, God was good to give us the sunny weather so the activities could go on and really, the sunny weather was terrific for the games. But charissa chng suffered under the sun, for beauty purposes haha.

Well, when i reached there, i heard the noise before seeing the kids. Im sure they were beginning to get excited about the camp but because they were making far too much noise, uncle peter had to be the discipline master inorder to get his camp instructions across. There were 12 groups altogether and if im not wrong, estimation of 200 kids turned up. Trust me, they sounded like a thousand kids but its such a joy to see all of them coming together as a group to eat, play, worship, pray and listen attentively to the pastors preaching. I didnt take the pictures down but if possible i can get them from one of the barnabas leaders. Once again, it put me to shame too, thinking of the times i fell asleep during sermons. Especially the part when pastor tells us to close our eyes and he prays, before i know it, i fall asleep. Hmmm, does that sound familiar to you guys?? hahaha

The kids went out for the outdoor activities at 1 and back back at 3plus because it was drizzling. The games requires quite a challenge for them and purpose was to build teambuilding, they really enjoyed it. Came back with flushed cheeks and perspiration all over, i see smiles on their faces and it made me smile too.=)

After dinner at night, they had to go through a special activity arranged for them called the 'underground church'. Uncle adrian and Ps linda had amended the game in such a way that is suitable for them. Basically the game as to test their faith to see if they could withstand the persecution of christianity in the various designated areas. One main area called the tortured dungeon, which i was on duty too, was designed to torture and interrogate christians till they give up their faith. All christians would have a green sticker and if they dont give up their faith, which means giving us their green sticker, they would not be able to leave the dungeon. My role initially was to be an angel whispering scripture verses to encourage them when they feel afraid or start stricking down tears. However, some of the kids are so hard to tortured that i became one of the torturers too. Most of us acted in different roles according to the situations. Denise and i recorded creepy sounds to scare them but obviously, it didn't work out. There was this girl whom a.pui leng and i were torturing, suddenly she broke into tears and cried. So we asked her 'would you like to give up your faith and give us your green sticker so you can go out'? She refused, no matter how many times we asked her, she still refused. We could see that she was very afraid, too afraid to play on the game that a.pui leng has to release her and let her spread her faith. There many other persistent kids that refuse to give up their green sticker even though the torturers made them do ridiculous things and dirtied them with smashed aga aga mixed with the night's dinner and other random food. It was really disgusting and i could smell the stink from the pail. Cheers to them, they deserve our applause. God must be smiling from above looking at his young warriors being so firm and trusting that He will save them even though they felt fear. I was touched by their genuinity of their love for God but of course, there were kids that couldn't stand the torture and gave up near immediate. If i was in their shoes, i really do not know if i would perservere or simply give up my faith that easily.

That night, when the game ended, it was significant. Ps linda address the children whom did not give up their faith and persist till the end of the game infront of the entire campmates. We were proud and very happy for them, i know this would start a new beginning for them. A new faith rising up in them that they would have never experience before. The future levites that ps kelly needs to look out for, children that loves God so simply that they know that God's perfect love thats away their fear. When i was acting as an angel, i told the kids that cried to put their hands at their heart to pray and ask God to take away their fear. Immediately, they acted out my actions. They took the angel's voice seriously and did not focus on their fears, instead they focus on God.

The first day of camp was indeed both exciting and fruitful. Although i had a bad headache at night, i really thank God that it did not affect me during the day but only come before i was going to sleep. Everything that i had experienced just taught me new things and re-affirmed my heart for the children ministry.

We face persecutions from the world each day and it includes me. Lets pray for protection from the Lord and that we would not give in easily to the world's standard. Because prayer has the power to keep satan away. Amen!)

Warriors and Arrows

Honestly, I popped by the Barnabas Club Sanctification Camp today with Joey Ling, and when we reached TCT auditorium, who would have known that the 10 to 12-year olds would be rockin down the house with "Warrior's Hands"? Its like they absolutely caught the soul behind the song and were jumping to the song's words that echoed throughout the auditorium. I was simply blown away by what I saw. It was an even more explosive time of worship.

One of the highlights was when the parents gathered with their children as their family and broke communion together. From amongst the crowd, I could see my own Youth pastor, Ps William, and his family, as well as the likes of Ps Simon Yee, gather with their families to bless their wives and children. It was an extremely heartwarming moment for me.

But all I can say that as one of the principal writers of Warrior's Hands, and to be on that stage to witness God's move in the hearts of our children, it was absolutely encouraging and it brought everything back into perspective.

So that's my thoughs, but look out for testimonials from the Levites who helped throughout the entire camp.

Hi all,

G-Kidz is organizing a carnival on the Easter Miracle Catch Weekend on April 8th. We will be transforming the entire Hall 9 into a Disneyland-like theme park called "Jerrussic Park" (get it? Jerusalem, Jerrusic??) So, we need volunteers, LOTS of them!!! We need people to help us in the following areas...

1) Actors (open to Levites and church members only)
- Must be passionate about it
- Be in a cell group
- Have the blessing of your leaders.
- Be able to commit for weekly rehearsals

2) Backstage Crew (open to everyone, your pre-believing friends included!!)
-Helping to run backstage operations of theatre.
-Be able to commit during the Easter Weekend

3) Marketplace Stall Holders (open to everyone, your pre-believing friends included!!)
- Helping to run marketplace stall activities
-Be able to commit during the Easter Weekend

4) Setup Crew
- To help in the set up of the hall and the tearing down of the hall.
- Be able to commit prior and after the Easter Weekend.

Yes people, I shan't remind you but its the mail man with this week's latest news!!

This week @ G-Kidz
Services this week are back online. And lets expect alot of explosive worship, particularly with the children coming back from CNY. Please ensure that you turn up for rehearsals on time. Musicians are expected to arrive at 7.15am on Sunday morning.

TOUCHKidz? G-Kidz?
This week is the first official week that we will be known church wide as G-Kidz!! It marks an exciting time in ministry so lets be proud of that name!!!

JuiceMaking Nights
There is no JuiceMaking Nights this week. JuiceMaking will resume next Saturday.

Sanctification Camp
The Barnabas Club children will be heading off on the first week of March for a time of sanctification. Let us pray that they will encounter God in a new way and lets pray for the Levites involved that they will be anointed over and that they will be able to lead the children into a time of experiential worship.

Album Review - Matt Redman

Today, we are starting a new column reviewing and previewing new albums by various Christian artists and musicians. Today's first edition is on Matt Redman's latest release "Beautiful News".

Launched during the Christmas season last year, it only reached Singapore shores recently. What's nice about this album is the raw sound that Matt takes on with this album, and the interesting use of syncopation and melodies to hook listeners. "You Never Let Go", the second track on the album is one such song, and really, this song examplifies the ability of a songwriter to hook listeners onto a specific line of a song.

The title track "Beautiful News" is encapsulates the entire message of God's redemption and the reason why He sent His Son. It is a beautiful track with amazing vocals by Matt.

WELCOME BACK!
Please welcome back warmly one of the most nicest people I have ever known, Samantha Yee, who served this weekend on the keyboards. Samantha comes back after a long sabbatical to concentrate on her A-levels. We're so excited to have her back...

A Reason for Celebration
Well, the results are out and guess what? Most of our Levites did pretty well!! Praise God for his immense favour. Kudos to all the Levites who have collected their Os and we pray that you will get to the course or school of your choice.. Let us meanwhile remember to pray for Priscilla Chng and Samantha as they await the outcome of their A-level results

Songwriting Fellowship
This is a praise report from the Songwriting Fellowship. The Levites who went had an explosive time as the songwriters of the church gathered together to hear and learn from each other. We were awe inspired by the way God uses the adults and especially the adults from the chinese congregation; to write songs and to glorify Him! We previewed our song "Warrior's Hands" to a very positive review. Alot of the adults got the message behind the song and what the song represents, so much so that they even suggested that this song could be used for Youth Service. Well who knows?...

Well, as Chinese New Year is around the corner, there will be no G-Kidz services next week. However, it is our prayer that you have a blessed time with your family and may you have a great fellowship as you celebrate and have fun! Remember to bless those around you as well!!

Worship This Week - Joey Ling (Timothy Club)

Today I led worship in Timonty and I was so
exhuasted by the time I finished 2nd svc. Was
so tempted to let Dan do the svc and I actually
asked him. But in the end I did the svc and
I must say surely the Lord was the one leading
me on.

During worship I began sharing w the kids how
time flies and how we rush in and out of our
daily lives. Often missing God and even walked
passed Him w/o knowing that He is there.
Just like what the bible has stated, His ppl
did not recognized Him[Jesus] when He[Jesus]
came to them. So I shared to the kids abt how
we wouldn't want to miss that moment w God.
Or rather rush by Him in troubled time and
blame Him for not being there. Truth is, He is
there all along. The kids were all listenin as their
hands were placed on their hearts and looking at
them I felt all of them understood what I meant.
I prayed for them and blessed them. 3rd svc was
indeed special today for me.

After svc at Gkidz I went for youth svc and
realized Ps Melvin was also preaching abt
Time and not missing that moment of doing
something great for God. That was a WOW moment
for me coz I realized when I was all exhausted and
wore out, God spoke thru me and used me :)

As the word says,
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is
made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor 12:9

Hey Levites!

Mark your calendars down, on the first week of every month till April, we have training for all musicians and vocalists! Attendance is compulsory, if you are unable to make it, please tell your Worship Leader.

What do we there? Well, we have a couple of workshops that will be conducted, our worship leaders will bring a word, and it will be a time of fellowship and gathering to be plugged into the ministry of the church and of GKidz. Details are as follows

Songwriting Fellowship

TOUCH Music Ministry is holding a Songwriting Fellowship on the 9 February (Friday) for all church members who have penned songs to come down for a night of fellowship with like-minded people. Our own songwriters will be featuring Warrior's Hands on the night itself!

The invitation is open to one and all! It does not matter whether you have written songs or not, but we want you to come and experience, and go away deeply blessed and impacted. Indeed, the songwriting journey of GKidz has only just begun!

Please confirm whether you are going to Ps Kelly as soon as possible. Details of the venue and time are at the bottom.

JuiceMaking Nights are happening every Saturday evening, so I hope that you all would come down on Saturday evening, especially after the Fellowship, and come contribute!

All Levites are welcome for our JuiceMaking sessions that are happening every Saturday night from 6.30pm - 9pm. A new component to look forward to is that on the third week of every month, our very own GKidz worship leaders will come and bring a word of blessing, wisdom and encouragement to those present.

I strongly believe that this is a time where a deeper level of intimacy will be achieved between God and His servants in ministry. I strongly encourage one and all to come down and be blessed, let us start to develop our passion for children. Remember, our ministry extends beyond the stage!

Well, it was written by our very own!! Truly, this also marks a time where we have started to express ourselves on a higher level, to start to communicate our love for Him and all we want to say to our Daddy God. Joey's Testimony

Hey, my 1st blog in Gkidz site. Just want to share
how faithful God is.
On Thurs while I was preparing for Sunday's worship,
I fell slp feeling that I can't manage the worship this week.
But God was truely great. He gave me verses in my dream
to show He's greatness and goodness to me.
Psalms 138, 38 and Job 38. If you've realized, all the passages
hav 38 in them, hahaha....
Well I read all the passages on my way to work and as I read
Job 38, I teared(Holy Spirit touched me). At that moment I
just felt God is so GREAT coz He made all things possible and
yet I placed Him in such a small position at times. I repented on
the bus and was all filled w God's joy to start my day.
You know sometimes we just felt that we can't do it and
so we'll say its impossible. But when you know how great and
almighty our God is, you won't feel that its impossible anymore.
Impossible to me at this point is when we do things thru our own
strength. SO we hav to learn even in this 2007 to learn to rely on
God's strength so we won't give up easily to the plans He hav for us.

Here in the stillness, I see Your wonders...
